CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Today, the World War II Museum of the New River Valley at 1531 North Main Street holds its grand opening and ribbon cutting, and up to four WWII-style aircraft will fly in formation over Blacksburg near mid-day if the weather permits—residents may view the historic flyover during the celebration. - ➤ Joy Powers of Bedford County will announce her bid for Congress on Sunday at the Blacksburg Community Center—she plans to present a rural policy blueprint aimed at restoring trust and strengthening local economies in a district that gave Rep. - ➤ On Friday night, Lord Botetourt hosted Cave Spring and won 42-7 as Quinten Jones scored a touchdown on a punt return and added another score + Angel Rigney built the lead in the second quarter.
