- ➤ An incident involving a small general aviation Diamond aircraft on Wednesday caused a brief closure of runway 6-24 at Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport at 12:25 p.m.—officials reported one occupant was on board with no injuries and the runway reopened by 1:50 p.m. WSET

Sigma Kappa’s team from Virginia Tech raised over $35,000 and Abbie Coleman hosted the ceremony—boosting local efforts to fight the disease. WSLS 10
- ➤ On Nov. 2 at Huckleberry Park, 720 participants in 37 teams walked to raise $75,000 for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
