A 20-year-old Virginia Tech student was charged with attempted murder—police say he stabbed a person off-campus in Blacksburg early Saturday morning.

Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine welcomed its largest class ever with 56 students in the Class of 2029 to help address a nationwide doctor shortage; the school will expand faculty, clinical sites, and training opportunities—focusing on rural communities.
