- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley will host a Day of Service and Remembrance on Thursday, September 11 at the Habitat ReStore — 1675 N Franklin St, Christiansburg — from 12:00 to 6:30 PM to honor 9/11 victims, first responders and veterans. Volunteers and students from Montgomery County Schools and Christiansburg Middle School will build 24 memorial picnic tables before community activities with food trucks and live music begin at 4:00 PM.
