- ➤ Smith Mountain Arts Council marked its 36th year by unveiling a full schedule of art events—such as shows, plays, and classes—that will offer opportunities for local residents to enjoy the arts. The council will host these events throughout the season to engage the community. WDBJ7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The New River Valley MPO seeks public comment on its 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan update with copies available for review on Sept. 17 and meetings set for Sept. 24 at Montgomery County Government Center and Oct. 1 at the New River Valley Regional Commission from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The update is made under federal guidelines from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and complies with the Civil Rights Act (Title VI).
