- ➤ The Town of Blacksburg announced that on Monday, September 1 its offices, transit center, community center and aquatic center will be closed and trash pickup in the SE Quadrant will be delayed until a makeup service on September 3—Christiansburg and Radford are also observing Labor Day with similar closures. - ➤ Attorney General Jason Miyares joined a bipartisan coalition of 43 attorneys general that demanded Big Tech companies strengthen safeguards for minors from harmful chatbot interactions—warning companies they will be held accountable for exposing children to sexual, violent, and deceptive content.
