➤ The Community Christmas Store of the Roanoke Valley will hold its first 'Fill the Sleigh' donation drive this Saturday, July 26 at the American Legion from 9 a.m. to noon; the event will collect household goods + run a bake sale to support local families in need during the holiday season. ➤ An off-duty sergeant helped police arrest a suspect accused of a home invasion and attempted theft on July 20—police say the suspect’s actions prompted a quick response. WDBJ7
➤ Blacksburg police arrested two suspects after a traffic stop led to a drug bust at an apartment yesterday. WDBJ7

HEALTH NEWS

➤ On Saturday, Bike4Alz riders from Phi Gamma Delta arrived in Blacksburg as part of their 70-day coast-to-coast bike ride to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease+ they have raised $95,000 so far and will finish the ride on July 27. WDBJ7
