BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Parking fees at Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport increased on July 1 due to rising operational costs—preferred parking now costs $14 per day, standard is $12 and economy is $10 with free parking for the first 30 minutes. - ➤ Montgomery County School Board Superintendent resigned after giving his reason for stepping down — he said he could no longer work with the board’s direction — and a statement issued on Jul. 11 detailed the challenges he faced. - ➤ Bernard F. Bragen, Jr. resigned as Montgomery County Public Schools superintendent because he found being nearly 500 miles from his family too hard and his resignation will be effective on August 30—he will serve until then while the school board searches for an interim leader. WDBJ7
