Two and a Half Sisters opened a new location — it now offers an expanded inventory to provide more choices for local customers.

Appalachian Power filed a petition with the Virginia State Corporation Commission on Wednesday to lower customer bills by securitizing assets and spreading out over $140 million in storm restoration costs and plant asset balances from two power plants — this move may save a home using 1,000 kWh about $11.44 per month.

Attorney General Jason Miyares today announced nearly $720 million in nationwide settlements with eight drug makers accused of contributing to the opioid crisis.

The settlements require changes in marketing practices and may provide Virginia up to $16.4 million to support recovery and treatment services.
