- ➤ Virginia’s Agricultural Best Management Practices Cost-Share program has been allocated $223 million for FY 2026 to help farmers use practices that protect water quality and improve soil health. Administered by the state Department of Conservation and Recreation and 47 local conservation districts, the funds can reimburse up to $300,000 per approved practice and will start today.
