- ➤ Virginia Tech renamed the Moss Arts Center to the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech following a recommendation from its Commemorative Tributes Committee — the board also designated the front grounds as the Patricia Buckley Moss Lawn. WSLS 10
- ➤ Virginia Tech’s student steel bridge team won third place at a national contest in Iowa after building a light bridge that held 2,500 pounds and looked good — they practiced many times using computer models and special tools and kept their bridge parts safe after their transport vehicle was broken into. Their hard work gave them useful real-world engineering experience. Virginia Tech News
- ➤ Veterinary college faculty were recognized by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors on June 3—promotions and tenure decisions were approved at the meeting. Virginia Tech News
