She grew up loving the outdoors and continues to use her passion to support smart environmental management.

Virginia Tech’s spring commencement ceremonies begin today on the main campus as thousands of students will graduate during the week.

Her work focuses on developing tools to help astronauts, military members, and healthcare workers perform better in demanding environments.

Virginia Tech researchers are testing a new catalyst process to produce hydrogen from methane while stopping carbon dioxide emissions—funded by a $1.3 million Appalachian Regional Commission grant, the project aims to also make solid carbon for commercial use and will include a STEM education program for rural schools scheduled for late summer.
