- ➤ Bud Foster’s Lunch Pail Defense Foundation received the 19th Annual Chancellor’s Award for Leadership in Philanthropy after being nominated by New River Community College—award honorees praised its support for community college students. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Virginia DMV announced there is no final day for getting a REAL ID—customers can apply any day at one of its 76 centers. The agency urges travelers to plan ahead since REAL IDs will be needed from May 7 for boarding domestic flights or entering secure federal buildings. New River Valley News
