- ➤ Layman Family Farms is hosting the Virginia Flower Fest for local visitors to enjoy regional flowers. Event organizers will announce details on the schedule and activities soon. WDBJ7
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Claytor Lake State Park reopened after suffering historic damage from Hurricane Helene last year—Virginia’s largest debris removal cleared the lake with help from the Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA and Friends of Claytor Lake. Visitors enjoyed safe boating, fishing and swimming during Easter weekend. WSET
- ➤ Virginia State Parks hosted events on April 19 and will offer over 50 programs through April 27 to celebrate Earth Day, which is tomorrow. The celebrations include educational programs, conservation efforts, and bird box building to help locals connect with nature. WSLS 10
