- ➤ The New River Community College Educational Foundation raised its scholarship award (from $1,700 to $2,150) for the 2026–2027 school year to cover up to six credits per semester for eligible students. It expects to award up to 500 scholarships automatically. New River Valley News
- ➤ Virginia Tech students watched the historic Artemis II launch yesterday (at 11:44 a.m. EDT) from the campus viewing area, marking a milestone in space exploration that energized local interest. WDBJ7

- ➤ The Town of Blacksburg will begin its curbside Spring Cleanup on April 6 for the Southwest area and continue on April 13 for the Southeast, April 20 for the Northeast and April 27 for the Northwest - residents should place items curbside by 7 a.m. on the scheduled Monday. New River Valley News
