- ➤ Delivery drivers in Blacksburg felt the pinch from rising gas prices on March 25 as one DoorDash driver said high fuel costs reduced her earnings to the point that taking orders was no longer worthwhile — many drivers now accept fewer orders, as tips rarely cover fuel expenses. WSET
