- ➤ The Montgomery Museum of Art & History will host the 'Get with the Buzz: Insect Garden Seminar' to offer insect garden insights. The event was announced Feb. 2 and will engage visitors interested in learning about insects. WDBJ7
- ➤ The Lambda Craft & Vendor Fair was announced on Feb. 2 and is set to take place soon in Blacksburg; more event details will be shared as the fair approaches. WDBJ7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Montgomery County Public Schools held a ribbon-cutting at Christiansburg Middle School on January 22 to open the new GO TEC Lab. Funded by a GO Virginia grant, the event included demos, a band + catered food and is the first GO TEC lab in the New River Valley. New River Valley News

- ➤ Yesterday, local firefighters discussed the challenges they face while working in severe weather plus the safety measures they are updating to protect crews. The discussion focused on adapting protocols and equipment to meet changing winter conditions. WDBJ7
