  • Dr. Martha Ann Stallings was awarded the 2025 Teilmann Youth Service Award by the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery Country—Blacksburg for her long-term leadership in local education programs and community tutoring, including her role as chair of the Race for ACCE fundraiser.  News Messenger
  • The Giving Back Society awarded $42,000 in grants to local groups serving underprivileged children — the funds will support social and informational services in Blacksburg.  The Roanoke Times

  • Virginia Tech boosted its athletic reputation after a thrilling triple overtime win over UVA and a pledge of over 200 million dollars into sports programs; the men's basketball team will compete against Wake Forest Saturday in Winston Salem as it looks to continue its rising momentum.  WDBJ7
