Braving Bisset: Run Against Hunger!

Run for a Cause. Strengthen Our Community. Join us on November 7, 9:30am at Bisset Park, Shelter #3, in Radford for a community 5K that helps provide food and hope to local families facing food insecurity. Proceeds from the event will support the YMCA at Virginia Tech's food insecurity initiatives in collaboration with Beans & Rice, ensuring that individuals and families have access to nutritious food and essential resources.

Supporting Beans & Rice

The YMCA at Virginia Tech is proud to partner with Beans & Rice to sustain and strengthen food distribution efforts in Radford. Together, we provide free groceries, including fresh produce, dairy products, meat, and pantry staples, to families experiencing food insecurity. Through this partnership, hundreds of community members can access healthy food in a welcoming and dignified environment.
